At SHABE, we recognize Teachers of the Year in bilingual, elementary ESL, secondary ESL and Foreign Language teachers each year!
The Diana Garcia Marion Citizenship Award is given annually to someone who has invested in the education and lives of our Emergent Bilingual Students. It is named after our founder, who started SHABE in 1987,
Our scholarships are awarded annually to graduating seniors and current paraprofessionals. Students must have been in a bilingual or ESL classroom or wish to become a teacher of Emergent Bilingual students! These are named for the person who helped to restart SHABE in 2000.
